After seeing Danny Gans, Robert told me that he had a surprise and then he whipped out 2 tickets to see Jay Leno! The show started in about an hour and was in the Danny Gans theater which we just left.

We walked around the Mirage, window shopping for a while and decided it was time to walk back to the theater. We were standing in front of Samba and we saw Carrot Top coming our way and headed to the Danny Gans theater. He had on a sleeveless t-shirt and blue jeans. All I can say is that he must work out! He wasn’t very tall but his arms were pretty big.

Not 2 seconds after he passed, we saw Dog The Bounty Hunter and his wife Beth following Carrot Top to the theater! I told Robert that we had to follow them because I wanted to say hi. He just kind of grinned and followed me, probably thinking I was goofy. But being the wonderful husband that he is, he didn’t say a word, just smiled and followed.


Dog and Beth were walking with Carrot Top and I didn’t want to interrupt so we patiently followed them waiting for the perfect opportunity to walk up. Some guys beside us yelled “Scott, hey Scott”. Scott is Carrot Tops real name. Turns out they were some old school buddies and he stopped to talk to them, that was my cue.

I’m not one to go on and on over ‘celebrities’ because I think just because you are on tv or can sing doesn’t make you better than anyone and I am never intimidated by someone’s ‘fame’ but I felt compelled to just say hi because we do watch their show every chance I get. Sometimes I have to go upstairs and watch it because Robert isn’t a huge fan : ) Anyway, I walked up beside Dog and said “Dog, we love your show”. (CORNY but I had to think of something fast) and he very humbly and quietly said “Thank you ma’am”. Ma’am? Did he just call me Ma’am? I was in shock for a sec. at the thought of getting old. I noticed that he was about my height. I am 5′7″ but had on 3″ heels. He had on tall cowboy boots so I’m guessing he is about 5′7″ also. I then leaned over and said hi to Beth and as soon as I did, she reached out and grabbed my hand. We spoke briefly and she was very soft spoken. I was shocked. I told Robert that I should have walked up, make the hawaiian hand symbol thing and said “Hey Bro” like they do to everyone. We got to the theater and I turned left to go to the restroom. Robert said that they were escorted in a side entrance.

Jay Leno was HILARIOUS! The one thing I remember the most was his suggestion on how to catch Osama. The USA sends Anna Nicole Smith over, she marries him and he’ll be dead in a few months. LOL He was non stop with the jokes and stories. He only paused once in 2 hours to take a drink of Evian. We had a 32 oz. Pina Colada during the show so everything was slightly funnier. I’d see him again.
